These are described as “quality Fine China” but I am not so sure. If they are “Fine China” it isn’t the semi-transparent, thin, bone china that you may be used to. These are heavier mugs. I think they might be stoneware with a ceramic coating. They are certainly as heavy as stoneware which is unusual for “china”.Despite that, I really love them. The design is lovely and the size is perfect. They are comfortable to hold for extended periods without getting a dent in your finger and just seem to make my brew more enjoyable!They arrived in perfect condition thanks to the decent packaging. The cups arrive in a high-quality , sturdy box, equally as pretty as the mugs and showing the same design, which is a really nice touch. Each cup was individually bubble-wrapped (as was the outer parcel) within its own quadrant in the box, with each cup separated by a cardboard frame to ensure they do not clang together during transit. The lovely, sturdy box will be useful for letters, cards, trinkets, sewing kit etc.
