   Having owned one of these for nearly 3 years, this is one review you MUST take seriously!If you can get over the ridiculous brand name, this little boom box really IS the best money can buy! (I mean ‘W-KING’ just makes you think of male masturbation doesn’t it?)Jokes aside, here’s what you need to know:Build Quality: Excellent! Solid outer casing. Nice rounded edges. Better than what you’d expect considering it’s stupid Chinesey branding. Dropped mine a couple of times over the years and no problems at all – barely a scratch on the exterior.Sound Quality: Superb! Deep, well-rounded bass, strong mids and quality trebles. Not at all tinny or cheap sounding. Performs well outdoors and indoors. – Select different sound equaliser settings to suit your environs.Battery Life: Great! – Easily handles a good days worth of medium to loud play from full charge. – No signs of battery failing after daily use for the last 3 years.Waterproofing: Not entirely. – I did an exterior patio pressure washing job with the speaker box on a table nearby. It got pretty wet in the spray/mist but not entirely soaked. Both the power and bluetooth led indicators stopped working. A month later the red power light started working again and 3 months after that, the bluetooth light started working, too. Wasn’t a real problem, though, since the unit still makes ‘Power On/Off’ and ‘Bluetooth Connected/Disconnected’ sounds. (I must note though, my one was the 1st model – This one listed is an updated model which has its led lights incorporated in the button pads so it’s probably more waterproof than mine.)I compared my unit against a friend’s JBL of similar size – I can’t recall what output wattage his JBL was, but this little boom box was clearly superior sounding with much stronger mid-range and more emphatic bass. He paid three times as much for his than I paid for mine.I am well chuffed with this purchase… – Absolutely OUTSTANDING value and performance! Well, WELL worth the money!I will DEFINITELY buy another one IF I ever have to… (- But I’ll probably spray paint the speaker grill to cover it’s stupid brand name.)

   Great little speaker, it does exactly what I want it to. listening to music while in the garden or doing some chores. It is loud enough for a small gathering but you wouldn’t be having a full blown rave with it. Nice tidy unit that is also waterproof and sturdy, it feels like a tough little unit which would be hard to damage.2 EQ settings for bass heavy dark sound or a light more acoustic mid to high range depending on the music and location.All-in-all I am satisfied for what it cost. I imagine I will get years of use from it.

   W-King 30watt speakersI feel that I’m qualified to review these new 30watt speakers from W-King, given that I already own the W-King 50watt version and own/have owned a whole host of other Bluetooth speakers of varying size (Ultimate Ears, Bose, Bang & Olufsen, JBL).So without and delay getting to the punchline, I think these are great speakers that hit the mark between the smaller (supposedly louder – but aren’t) 40watt Tronsmart and the 50watt W-Kings.The 40watt (yeah…right) Tronsmart speakers are smaller and about a third lighter than these 30watt W-Kings, and that makes a difference: the Tronsmart suffers more from ‘small speaker syndrome’ (a more tinny, less solid sound than a big speaker). However, unlike the Tronsmart, the 30watt W-Kings don’t have that syndrome to the same extent – they sound louder than they look as though they should sound. They sound deeper and more solid than the Tronsmart.Just to be clear, I’m not saying that the Tronsmart 40w speakers sound ‘tinny’ – because they don’t. I am only talking in relative terms compared to the 30w W-kings. To give an objective, physical comparison of the difference between the 40w Tronsmart and the 30w W-Kings: If I lay down on the floor and have the two W-Kings several feet either side of me, for example, I can feel the vibrations from the visceral bass vibrating through the carpet and underneath me (and that’s just playing them at 60% volume). Whereas I didn’t feel the same level of floor vibration with the pair of Tronsmarts doing the same thing. But, at the end of the day, this would be expected given that the Tronsmart are a actually smaller and lighter speaker than the 30w W-Kings, despite being advertised as producing a higher (40watt) output (they don’t).I’m sure the Tronsmart speakers are very much liked by many who own them (they do produce a nice clear sound), but perhaps they prefer a more mids and treble orientated sound signature, or perhaps they just don’t realise what they’re actually missing out on from the more solid-sounding and deeper bass-sounding 30w W-Kings.The (new) 30w W-Kings have also gone up a waterproof rating level to IPX6 (as opposed to IPX5 for the older 50watt version).Now, I like both the 30watt and 50watt W-Kings and will be keeping both sets (I returned the Tronsmart 40w speakers, sadly).The 50watts (which I also have two of) have that extra power and beefier sound for when I need to use them outdoors, or for house parties, or when I want to just blast it. The 30watts, being more portable, will go with me to other houses/on holiday and general listening at home later at night when I need to keep the sound down a bit for my neighbours(!).The 30w’s are well balanced sound, with a little more emphasis on the bass than some other speakers (which is a good thing), but you can noticeably dampen the bass by pressing the ‘EQ button’ (double-pressing the play/pause button), if you find it too bassy for the genre of music that you’re listening to.Like the 50watts, I have bought two of the W-King 30watts and pair them in stereo mode using the True Wireless technology. As I said, the EQ button is there and is useful if you want that extra power output but with a flatter frequency response (mids and highs become relatively louder – the bass doesn’t increase as much). The EQ button is a good to have as the flatter frequency response sounds more natural when pushed at higher volume levels and also helps to avoid distortion creeping into the bass and the corresponding effect of bass distortion on the higher frequencies, too, as the woofers begin to lose overall control of what they are doing.There is no distortion on these speakers, nor the 50watt version, even at maximum volume – they handle the high output volume well.The photo shows the relative size of the unit compared to my phone, to give you an idea of the size.Anyway, I’ve had no problems using these and will continue to use them, and recommend them. For the price, they are truly excellent.Although you don’t need to, I’d strongly recommend buying two of them to make a stereo pair, if budget allows. Lovely room-filling sound (with two paired up in stereo) for a cracking price.

   I was looking for a speaker for an outside hobby. I looked at several speakers before making a decision and almost purchased a different speaker. After reading some of the feedback I thought I would give this one a go. It is very sturdy and it paired to my phone in seconds. Being in the older generation I dont do tricky or fiddley so I was impressed with the setup on this speaker. The bass is extremely good as with the mid range and trebble. Verry impressed so far. I will probably get another one soon to make it a pair.I would highly recoment this to anyone.

   I was looking for a new bit of music system for the kitchen. I am amazed at the vokume this box gets to, and ive not even gone half way on volume.This box packs a punch, and sound clarity is amazing. I love playing Rockabilly as well as Texas Blues, so Johnny Winter, Stevie Ray Vaughan, Rory Gallagher, Gary moore, Albert king, Freddie King etc just leap out of these speakers.I am very impressed and will be ordering another of these speakers, and strongly reccomend this particular device.

   My wife wanted some music to listen to when she was decorating the house, so I bought her this box of delights, much better than any other Bluetooth speakers I have heard before. The sound is great, much better than the tinny sound you get with most speakers. For the price, they are a steal, well recommended.

   Sturdy, powerful. Smaller than you think it might be but that makes it so much more portable. Good functionality. Can be paired with another for double the boom.I really like it. Use it regularly

   In not one to read instruction manual and even without reading, it was super easy to navigate. It’s travel size and the battery lasts! I go a couple days without charging but using it daily. Great quality. I recommend

    Well after a year of use well mine now is giving up was a good speaker ( now just rattles ) not to happy
