Better than a simple gift card. It makes a gift a bit more classy.

So, there you go, buy one for £36, then AMAZON pay you back £6as I always buy lots of PERFECT Tools, Cloths etc. But, I always make sure IF i Buy any TOOLS of ELECTRICALS, I now never buy anything from AMAZONwhy, seems everything is always from the other side of the world, who never ever pays you back as it breaks before its 1 or 2 years old.Always get DIY where ever you can get it, with a REAL PERSONtheres a GOOD TIP

When one of those offers you can’t refuse came along – buy a £30 Amazon gift card and get £7 extra free – I immediately treated myself. I knew the credit wouldn’t last long as I’m a real Amazon fan. I was right – three days all told. As I was loading the gift certificate, the thought occurred that I’m about as big a fan of surprise presents as I am of Amazon but how much more reliable is the trusty Amazon voucher. This nice, crisp piece of plastic more or less guarantees happiness – the happiness of choosing your own select gift. No more running the gamut of recycled unwanted gifts, novelty pound shop items the buyer thought looked worth at least £2.50, scented candles that don’t smell, Romanian chocolates and garden tools that crumple at the merest hint of clay soil. My soul must by now be so hard-wired to Amazon, I went straight for the black and orange Generic and missed the Cup Cake gift box altogether.

Amazon.co.uk Gift Box – £30 (Generic)Sold by: Amazon EU S.a.r.L.£30.00 no P+Pthese make excellent presents. it was delivered really quickly it’s a bit nicer than just giving someone cash. It’s like the postal orders for the cyber age. (can you still get postal orders?) the advantage is not having to go to the post office AND paying more than the face value of the postal order. The other aspect is that there will always be something on Amazon they will want.I’m not sure if there is a time limit/expiry date for them but usually they get used up pretty quickly. And if there is something particularly expensive you can use a whole a bunch of them.there are a variety of denominations, designs, occasions, and cards, certificates and what nots. not just a great gift but sometimes an emergency fall back plan.ACID TEST: would I buy again/recommend? YES

So this is a brief review for me really and I usually like to put the pros and cons of anything I buy. In the case of the gift box there’s not much I can say is you can already see some sellers of left pictures and some like it and some don’t! Personally I like the box it came in as it was solid and looked nice. I had no issues with the delivery as it came next day and I could give it straightaway as a gift. Well made product that suits its purpose from Amazon.

Bought one of these in a pinch, for a picky friend who’s hard to buy for. This was perfect. There’s zero mark-up on the gift box and delivery, so the full £20 I paid was available to spend by the recipient. I’ve since bought many of these for friends and family, and Amazon usually have a great range of styles to choose from to match the occasion (including the metal tins when spending higher amounts, which are very well built and quite elegant.)A very nice way to add some ‘depth’ to a traditionally boring gift card, and send your loved ones something physical to open on whatever occasion you’re buying for.If you found this review helpful, please click ‘yes’ – thanks 🙂

Delivery person didn’t even get the door of the delivery address. They just threw it down the drive. If it wasn’t for the security cameras, the gift might not have been found. The report this gift was handed to the resident was an absolute lie. This experience makes me think of going back to the gift vouchers I use to get. Not impressed.

Ordered during the evening, and delivered the next day free of charge, these attractively-boxed gift cards are so useful to have and easy to use. Just reveal the claim code on the reverse of the card, visit your Amazon account, select ‘Apply a Gift Card to Your Account’, type in the number and the amount is immediately applied to your account. When shopping, you can use this gift card to purchase anything from Amazon UK, including Kindle purchases and it can also be used for Amazon Market Place purchases. In addition to making a useful and attractive gift for someone else, these cards can be applied to your own account, so if you make a lot of small purchases it saves you having to check all those individual amounts against your credit card statement. Brilliant.5 Stars.

Ideal for someone that you want to buy a wedding gift for, but they have enough toasters and junk they don’t need.As an aside, I found ordering a bit tricky as (1) the choice is bewildering (2) make sure you don’t get the printable e-version (not a very exciting present to hand over on a wedding day) (3) after you’ve chosen the design, different denominations were greyed out making it look like they weren’t available – but actually they are. And there don’t seem to be any ‘Wedding’ themed gift cards which seemed surprising – millions of Birthdays but no Weddings…

I’m a great believer in not inflicting my choice of gift on someone – let them choose something they ‘actually’ want rather than what you ‘think’ they might want. Nothing worse than wasting your money and making someone feel awkward because they received something they didn’t have any need for. Years ago, you used to get paper vouchers, a nice card and an envelope – now if you buy a voucher in the shops, you get a plastic credit card stuck to a bit of cardboard used to hang it on the display. This gift box is a great way to give the choice of something they really want and at the same time is nicely packaged – even saves you the hassle of wrapping it!
