I was impressed with this little make up set. It looks like a lovely little Box of delights that a little girl will be pleased with immediately when looking at it. It is full of an array of different types of makeup. Most importantly, most of the makeup contents were usable and in bright and vibrant shades that are pleasing for little girls. The blusher and eyeshadow powders were a nice powder that were silky when applied to the skin and had a subtle glimmering sheen. The nail varnishes were bright colours that applied smoothly and dried quickly, and were easy to scratch off once they had finished drying. The glitter eyeshadow were creamy and very bright and glittery when applied to the skin which was particularly impressive. There is a good assortment of brushes for a little girls to have fun using. The mirror is a real mirror which is nice and clear once you peel off the protective film, which is a little difficult to peel off. The only makeup that I was not impressed with where the little lipstick tubes which were plasticky/waxy in texture and the colour did not glide onto the skin smoothly, and it was really hard to make them work. One downside to this set is that the drawers are difficult to open. They are really stiff and required an adult to open them. I recommended to our 8 year old to leave them partially open so that she would not have trouble opening and closing them all the time. Other than that, this was a really pleasing little set that I can recommend.

After trying the eyeshadow and lip cream, she had no allergic reactions. Additionally, she mentioned that it has a light, sweet candy-like scent that she enjoys.
