10 reviews for Sunny Health & Fitness SF-RW1205 12 Adjustable Resistance Rowing Machine Rower w/ Digital Monitor

  1. Bean

I was sceptical given the price, but this is perfect for a beginner. Excellent value, well built, no issues so far, does what it needs to do. I use it in ten minutes bursts during the course of the day along with other exercise, and it fits my needs perfectly. The only issue will be whether the hydraulic cylinder is resilient over time. No reason to doubt it at this point. Highly recommended.

  2. Kathryn

This machine was so easy to put together. Most of it was already fixed in place and what was left to do needed a couple of tools, which were supplied, so you don’t even need a tool kit! Even the little computer that counts your rowing, calories etc. come with batteries supplied. It took me 5 minutes to set it up!It has 12 settings. I started at number 1, but that offered absolutely no resistance, so I upped it until I was comfortable with number 9. After a few days, I put it up to number 10 and I’m happy with that. I only do about 10 minutes every morning and sometimes through the day. I really enjoy it. It is a workout for your entire body, but unlike other exercises, I don’t hurt myself. I bought it because I had become so unfit during lockdown. This builds strength in your entire body. I read the reviews first and that’s what convinced me to buy it. It’s worth every penny, and actually it was quite cheap considering how well made it is. And if you’re not a ‘gym’ person, but want to get fit, this definitely helps!

  3. A Buyer

Put off buying a rowing machine by their size but this compact and lightweight rower solves that problem.Smooth to use and the resistance can be ramped up easily and is more than sufficient. The small screen it comes with is pretty useless but I just use a timer so no problem. All round good purchase

  4. Simon robinson

March 24,i have read a lot of online reviews about different products and what put me off was the assembly. I’m 59 with Parkinson’s so I needed something I could use that was lightweight, good for a beginner and easy to put together. There are only a few bits to do and took about 10mins .. It’s small, light but effective .. I would say if you’re tall it might not be the best one for you, but for me it’s absolutely perfect .I’ve started at the lowest grade and 10mins a day…Will update the review in a month’s time and let you know, but so far im impressed

  5. SueD

I ordered this machine as the reviews were good for a very reasonable priced machine. Wanted to keep fit without going to the gym. This machine is lightweight and easy to use l am 69 year old lady and this is ideal I can manage it very well

  6. ChrisR

After using it 10 times, the resistance levels stopped working and it became impossible to row as it wouldn’t move. We sent it back and got a replacement and the same has happened again

  7. Peter c

I thought this too good to be true, but it’s exceptionally good value to money.Easy to set up, easy to use

  8. frank

Compared to expensive flywheel models this low cost hydraulic indoor rower does the basic job of rowing very well. I do 20 minute continuous rowing sessions at 32 SPM, level 6- the resistance levels go from 1 to 12. It doesn’t have the fancy digital data facility such as the PM5 but at over £800 less who cares!!

  9. Rox

Easy to put together. Easy to use great workout equipment.

You don’t buy a budget product with very high expectations but although I have not really given it any serious use I can report that it came promptly, it was well-packed in a sturdy box, it went together very easily using the supplied tools and the instructions were adequate. The only moment of panic was on the first pull when I thought it was going to be too tough but once I realised that although I thought I’d set it to “1” (easiest) I had in fact set it to “12” (hardest) we were all set to go.I’m an overweight 77 year old and bought it to try and restore my core strength. I had a leg ulcer last year which stopped my daily walking routine and I’ve been finding it really hard to get going again. I get lower back pain too quickly on my treadmill and discomfort “where the sun don’t shine” on my exercise bike so I’m hoping this will help me to restore the lower back muscles – amongst others – without back painI’m an engineer so I like to measure stuff and the basic instrument panel tells you most of what you need to know. Using a rowing machine in a gym more than twenty years ago I’d be aiming for a heart rate of 150 bpm. That would blow me up these days and I’ll need to use my mifit band to keep an eye on pulse.By the way I didn’t notice in the online specification that the machine had an upper weight limit but it does – 225lbs so 100kg is about your limit if you’re not going to overload it.
