I bought the Amazon Fire TV Stick with Alexa Voice Remote to upgrade my old TV and access various streaming services. I was pleasantly surprised by how easy it was to set up and use. The device plugs into an HDMI port and connects to the internet via Wi-Fi. The remote has a microphone button that lets me use voice commands to search for content, control playback, and launch apps. I can also use it to control the volume and power of my TV.The Fire TV Stick supports 1080p resolution and HDR formats, which means I can enjoy high-quality video and vibrant colors. It also supports Dolby Atmos sound, which adds more depth and realism to the audio. The device has a fast processor that makes it responsive and smooth. It has access to a huge library of apps, including Netflix, Prime Video, Disney+, YouTube, and more. I can also watch live TV and sports with apps like BBC iPlayer, ITV Hub, and BT Sport. You can also add third-party apps (such as Kodi) if you unlock developer permissions…The Fire TV Stick with Alexa Voice Remote is a great device for anyone who wants to turn their TV into a smart TV. It is affordable, easy to use, and offers a lot of features and content. It is not as advanced as the Fire TV Stick 4K, which supports 4K resolution and more HDR formats, but it is still a very good option for 1080p TVs. I definitely recommend it!

I’ve been using this for a few months now and very impressed. The UI is seamless and features every streaming service you can think of. Controlling the UI with the remote is very intuitive and navigating the settings etc is also very easy to do. Setup took about 5-10 minutes tops before everything was up and running. The most important part though, the voice control can understand Scottish people. Normally these don’t work too well with my families accent but this one works very well. Have already recommended this product to many friends.

Right, it’s time to talk about the ultimate binge-watching companion – the Amazon Fire TV Stick. As a devoted streamer, I’ve had my fair share of gadgets, but this one has truly upped my streaming game.Performance & Power (4/5): The latest release of the Fire TV Stick is a powerhouse when it comes to streaming. It’s 50% more powerful than its predecessor, making Full HD streaming a breeze. With the Alexa Voice Remote that comes with power and volume buttons, it’s a truly amazing. The only drawback is that it can get a bit sluggish at times, especially with extensive apps. Still, I’ll give it a solid 4 out of 5 stars for its performance.Voice Control & Simplicity (5/5): Alexa Voice Remote – oh, how I love you! It lets me search and launch programs across various apps using just my voice. The preset buttons make it a breeze to access my favorite apps quickly. Plus, it’s a real remote multitasker – it controls power and volume on my TV and soundbar, eliminating the need for multiple remotes. A perfect 5 out of 5 stars for voice control and simplicity.Audio Experience (4/5): If you’re an audio aficionado, you’ll appreciate the support for Dolby Atmos on selected titles. The immersive audio experience is a great feature. However, it’s worth noting that you’ll need compatible home audio systems to truly unlock this feature. Hence, a respectable 4 out of 5 stars for audio.Content Variety (5/5): Amazon has nailed it when it comes to content variety. From BBC iPlayer to Netflix, YouTube, Prime Video, Disney+, and more, the options are endless. Amazon Prime members get the added bonus of unlimited access to a vast library. Live TV subscriptions are available too, with channels like Eurosport and Sky News. Free TV apps like ITVX and PlutoTV are also at your fingertips. It’s a solid 5 out of 5 stars for content variety.User-Friendly Setup (5/5): Setting up the Fire TV Stick is a breeze. Plug it in behind your TV, turn on the TV, and connect to the internet – that’s it. It’s sleek, stays hidden, and adds a ton of functionality to your TV. A well-deserved 5 out of 5 stars for user-friendliness.In conclusion, the Amazon Fire TV Stick has truly elevated my streaming experience. It’s the ultimate entertainment companion, offering a plethora of content and a user-friendly interface. While it may have some occasional hiccups in performance, it’s a must-have for any avid streamer.

Easy to set up. I was able to do it myself so must be easy. My Sony Smart TV began to play up and would not load the Prime or Disney Plus Apps and I was never able to watch Apple on my TV and had to put a cable from the laptop to the TV. ITVX would not work. Enter the Fire Stick and watching TV Apps is so much easier. Very pleased

My tv in the bedroom didn’t have any of the streaming apps. I purchased the Fire Stick, which arrived quickly and I was very happy how easy it was to install as I’m not great with technology. Since instalation everything works brilliantly and is very easy to use.

Our bedroom TV is a relatively old, flat screen wall-mounted TV which is ‘not smart’. We use a digital aerial to get freeview channels but wanted a few more options. We are not that tech savvy so I did a little research before purchasing. The only HDMI port on my TV is to the rear so was aware that it would be difficult to plug the Firestick directly in to the TV. However I had a spare HDMI cable (both ends male HDMI connectors) which I plugged in to my TV. I then bought a cheap female HDMI adaptor (small connector with two female HDMI ports) and plugged the cable from my tv in to one of the female ports and the Firestick in to the other. I followed the really easy instructions that came with the Firestick and was able to get it connected to my WiFi and up and running in no time. Setting up the Firestick remote so that it can control the tv (volume etc) was fairly simple. The Firestick enables me to log in to my paid subscription services (Netflix and Prime) but also access free content such as All 4, You Tube, ITV Hub, BBC iPlayer etc. I had not previously been able to access these free or subscription services on the bedroom TV due to it being ‘not smart’. The services will usually require you to register for an account but it does not cost for services such as ITV Hub, iPlayer, All 4 etc which are free (Netflix, Prime etc will require a subscription if you want to use them). The picture is really clear and the streaming works fine with my broadband. I can use the Firestick remote with voice control OK, though I tend to work with the buttons out of preference. The only thing that I cannot do using the Firestick remote is switch inputs so I still need to use my original TV remote when I wish to switch back to content from the digital aerial rather than watch content through the HDMI input (Firestick). This is not a problem as original remote still in good order – I have googled this issue and think it is to do with the age and set up of my TV so will not be an issue for some. Really pleased with the purchase and the additional options it provides for my old telly. Apologies for the long winded review – I just felt it might be useful to people like me who didn’t really understand what a Firestick could do!

I had an old Firestick I used to use, then when SKY Q came along and all the streaming apps were on the box I unplugged it.I recently bought the rather brilliant Echo Studio. When I heard you could connect it to a newer Firestick and get Dolby Atmos sound I felt I had no option but to comply.Waited until there was a deal on and picked up the non 4K stick for £30.I’ve been ill today and have had the house to myself pretty much – so I’ve been using it a lot.I’ve watched Roadhouse, Damsel, House of Ninja and Foundation. The picture quality compared to streaming through Sky Q is really noticeable. The Firestick blows it away – looks upscaled to almost 4K at times – very impressed. However what really make this amazing is using the Echo Studio as a soundbar. The sound is fantastic – especially when watching something with Dolby Atmos. The bass, the music – just brilliant – really adds to the experience. This is a total recommend from me. It does feel a bit sluggish at times when using it. And with I change the input on my tv off the Studio the sound does not work unless I turn the TV off and back on again – which is a pain – but I can live with it.Also – did the sake of clarity – I wouldn’t bother watching Damsel or Roadhouse 😉

The Amazon Fire Stick has completely revolutionized my TV viewing experience! Setting it up was a breeze, and within minutes, I had access to a vast array of streaming services, including Netflix, Prime Video, Hulu, and more. The interface is intuitive and user-friendly, making it easy to navigate between apps and find something to watch. The voice remote feature is incredibly handy, allowing me to search for content, adjust volume, and even control smart home devices with just my voice. The streaming quality is excellent, with crisp, clear picture and fast loading times. Plus, the Fire Stick’s affordability makes it a no-brainer for anyone looking to cut the cord and enter the world of streaming. Whether you’re a casual viewer or a binge-watcher, the Amazon Fire Stick is a must-have addition to your entertainment setup!
